We offer a one-on-one remote Mentoring Program to individuals seeking to consolidate their gastric ultrasound proficiency, but who may not have access to mentors or supervisors in their workplace. 

A baseline level of ultrasound competence is a prerequisite, as we are unable to teach this remotely. We recommend attending a Gastricus workshop prior to the Mentoring Program. 

The Mentoring Program is comprised of the following elements: 

• An introductory video call to outline the process and set expectations

• A designated mentor based remotely

• Access to an online repository for storing and sharing images and videos 

• Feedback on image quality, interpretation, and clinical decision-making 

• Support over a period of four months or 30 cases, whichever is sooner (individuals with a strong ultrasound background may complete the process after 15-20 cases) 

• Option to extend supervision period with an additional 5-10 cases if further experience is required to achieve competence, at no extra cost

• A final video call prior to sign-off

• A certificate of completion once all requirements are met

For those who have not attended the Gastricus workshop, we offer a Mentoring Plus Program which, in addition to the above, includes extended educational content during the introductory meeting and a comprehensive handbook for future reference. A basic level of ultrasound competence is still required.
